Ways of Seeing Volume 2 offers a comprehensive view of the three-part exhibition Ways of Seeing: Three Takes on the Jack Shear Drawing Collection, which focuses on the extraordinary drawing collection of artist, curator, and President of the Ellsworth Kelly Foundation Jack Shear. The publication features extensive photographic tours of all three iterations, allowing the first opportunity to consider each of the installations in relation to the others. Essays by Shear, Shechet, and Earnest illuminate each curator’s singular approach to installing the collection, as well as reflections on their participation in this unique curatorial project, one that ultimately affirms the idea that how we see art is fundamental to what we see.
