The Drawing Center tendrá un taller de dibujo bilingüe a las 11:30am - 1pm presentado en español e inglés que se enfocará en la exposición actual Ways of Seeing: Three Takes on the Jack Shear Drawing Collection. Inspirada por el crítico de arte, pintor y autor británico John Berger, la exposición explora la compleja relación entre ver y comprender.

Dirigido por la artista docente Ada Pilar Cruz, el taller alentará a los participantes a mirar de cerca, hacer asociaciones personales y hacer conexiones intuitivas entre los dibujos a la vista. Los participantes investigarán cómo su propia sensibilidad y el contexto en el que se ven los dibujos afectan su percepción de las obras de arte expuestas.

Tenga en cuenta que se requieren máscaras y prueba de vacunación para asistir a este evento. Se proporcionarán todos los materiales de arte.


Join us in-person at The Drawing Center for a bilingual drawing workshop at 11:30am - 1pm presented in Spanish and English that will focus on the current exhibition Ways of Seeing: Three Takes on the Jack Shear Drawing Collection. Inspired by British art critic, painter and author John Berger, the exhibition explores the complex relationship between seeing and understanding.

Led by teaching artist Ada Pilar Cruz, the workshop will encourage participants to look closely, draw personal associations, and intuitively make connections between the drawings on view. Participants will investigate how their own sensibilities and the context in which drawings are seen affects their perception of the artworks on view.

Please note that masks and proof of vaccination are required in order to attend this event. All art materials will be provided.
