A vital part of the Soho alternative art scene in the late 1960s and 70s, Alan Saret was an important figure in the history of process art and post-minimal art. Accompanying Alan Saret: Gang Drawings, an exhibition organized in close collaboration with Saret himself, this publication features essays by Klaus Kertess and Johanna Burton alongside a small selection of the artist’s “gang drawings”; works made from fistfuls (“gangs”) of colored pencils swept across the page, spanning from the 1960s to the present.
