Lea Bertucci and Antenes: Performance

In tandem with our ongoing Gabriel de la Mora exhibition, The Drawing Center is presenting the second of two performances organized by Thessia Machado, an artist whose cross-media performance practice addresses the links between sound and drawing.

Lea Bertucci is a musician who alters traditional instruments to act as vehicles for surround sound. In addition to composing music, Bertucci creates graphical scores that re-imagine the manner in which sound is spatialized.

Antenes (aka Lori Napoleon) is an experimental musician whose practice utilizes obsolete phone equipment that she transforms into modular synthesizers and sequencers.
