In Conversation: Leslie Kean on Voice of Space

Join us for a conversation with investigative journalist Leslie Kean, presented in conjunction with the exhibition Voice of Space: UFOs and Paranormal Phenomena.

Kean has spent her career bringing credible information about hidden and paranormal realities into the mainstream, examining phenomena that challenge our understanding of what's possible. In 2017, she co-authored a New York Times article that revealed the Pentagon's previously undisclosed UFO program. Most recently, in November 2025, she reported on "The Age of Disclosure," a documentary featuring government and military officials that was screened for a bipartisan group of members of the House of Representatives.

Kean is the author of Surviving Death: A Journalist Investigates Evidence for an Afterlife (Crown Archetype, 2017) and UFOs: Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials Go on the Record (Crown Publishing Group, 2010).

Voice of Space: UFOs and Paranormal Phenomena explores profound mysteries at the intersections of human experience, belief, and the unknown. As declassified government reports and an increasing media presence bring the potential for extraterrestrial activity into the spotlight, this exhibition examines the cultural, psychological, and metaphysical dimensions of this topic. What role do UFOs and paranormal phenomena play in shaping our understanding of the universe, and how do they challenge or expand our beliefs about humanity's place within it?
