Instagram Live Conversation with Edie Fake and Claire Gilman
Join Chief Curator Claire Gilman and artist Edie Fake for a live conversation about his practice and long-term site-specific installation Labyrinth in our stairwell.
Labyrinth is an homage to the Labyrinth Foundation, an early organization for trans men established in the late 1960s in Chicago. The elaborate wall drawing features a maze-like architectural façade, which dissolves into the same winding patterns and paths that populate Fake’s individual drawings, a reference to the myriad unmapped territories and paths through trans identity.
