Anna Maria Maiolino: A Life Line/Vida Afora

This major exhibition marks the first time that the work of Anna Maria Maiolino is the subject of a solo exhibition in the United States. The exhibition features one hundred drawings from Maiolino’s thirty-five-year career, including works on paper that involve folds, cuts, tears, hand-sewn seams, and flowing ink. The exhibition encompasses the entire scope of the artist’s drawing practice and focuses on her use of open-ended and inclusive forms that examine the personal and political connotations of space, language, and geography.
