Eddie Martinez: Studio Wall

Across painting and drawing, Eddie Martinez incorporates a rotating cast of characters into raw, abstracted landscapes: cartoon ducks, oversized eyes, coiled snakes, and anthropomorphic blocks of color are among his itinerant motifs. This publication features many of the sketches included in The Drawing Center’s exhibition Eddie Martinez: Studio Wall, a curatorial essay by Claire Gilman, and an interview with Eddie Martinez by artist Katherine Bernhardt accompany installation views and color illustrations of works in the exhibition.
