Jon Kessler: You Have 43 Friends
Best-known for large-scale kinetic sculptures and installations, Jon Kessler has been exploring the mass media’s infatuation with war, disaster, sex, and celebrity through politically charged work since the 1980s. Accompanying Jon Kessler: Works on Paper, the artist’s first exhibition of drawing-based work, this publication features 43 black-and-white illustrated portraits collaged from magazines and newspapers that confront the collusion of advertising, propaganda, surveillance, and technology.
