Accompanying the exhibition The Body of the Line: Eisenstein’s Drawings, the first U.S. museum exhibition of drawings by the influential Russian filmmaker Sergei Mikhailovich Eisenstein (1898-1948), this publication features an introduction by Catherine de Zegher and a text on drawing by Sergei Eisenstein. The volume also includes an attachment of essays collected during the symposium on January 27, 2000 organized by Annette Michelson with Oksana Bulgakowa, Ian Christie, Jean Gagnon, Mikhail Iampolski, and Annette Michelson.
