Performance : Open Sessions

Single Occupancy a performance work by Open Sessions artists Lauren Bakst and Yuri Masnyj will take place in the gallery. The performance involves a body, a monitor, and a stack of objects. These materials create the conditions for the construction of landscape and portraiture, using absence and abstraction to establish the presence of the figure. InSingle Occupancy the image functions as a recording and a disappearance—the performance, a practice in the sensation of artifice.
