Join Mark Zubrovich, teaching artist and Visitor Services Associate at The Drawing Center, for a participatory drawing workshop that will examine the ways in which artists use humor and irony in the language of drawing to reflect on and cope with the new world 2020 has thrust upon us – from the fragility of our collective health, to the depth of political corruption, to the desperate need for racial and economic justice. The workshop will focus on a selection of drawings from the current exhibition 100 Drawings from Now, and participants will discuss how artists make us laugh and contemplate our struggles as we search for balance in the absurdity of it all.

ASL Interpreter Services will be provided by DeafLink Inc. Live closed captioning for this workshop will be provided.

Due to the explicit nature of the drawings, we recommend participants be at least 16 years of age.
