"Animal, Vegetal, Mineral "será la primera gran retrospectiva de los dibujos de Joan Jonas, una de las artistas experimentales estadounidenses más prominentes en el arte americano de la posguerra. La exhibición resalta el trabajo pionero de Jonas y el lugar integral del dibujo, como base y apoyo, en sus videos, performances y esculturas.

Join us in-person at The Drawing Center this Saturday, June 1st, 2024 at 11:00am for a bilingual drawing workshop presented in Spanish and English that will focus on our current exhibition "Joan Jonas: Animal, Vegetable, Mineral."
"Animal, Vegetable, Mineral" is be the first major drawing retrospective of Joan Jonas, one of the most experimental and significant voices in American art of the postwar period. The exhibition is a definitive look at this pioneering artist and the integral place of drawing which constitutes the backbone of Jonas' video, performance, and sculpture practices.
