Selections 44
January 18 – February 11, 1989
The Drawing Center was pleased to announce its 12th anniversary exhibition, Selections 44, which featured the work of nine emerging artists discovered through The Drawing Center's unique Viewing Program. Selections 44 was a non-thematic exhibition, with the drawings reflecting the great wealth and diversity of works on paper produced at that time. A total of 30,000 artists had participated in the Viewing Program over the past twelve years and 467 had been represented in the Selections exhibitions. The Drawing Center was pleased to present the work of the following nine artists: Yeong Gill Kim, Vivienne Koorland, Richard Moninski, David Moriarty, Diane Olivier, Ann Marie Ragone, Kunie Sugiura, Daniel B. Tisdale, and Andy Watel.
All of the artists included in Selections 44 participated in a symposium at The Drawing Center on Wednesday, January 25 at 7:00 pm. The artists discussed their work and answered questions from the audience.
Curated through The Drawing Center’s Viewing Program.
