Selections 43
December 8, 1988 – January 7, 1989
Selections 43 featured the work of eight emerging artists discovered through The Drawing Center's unique Viewing Program. Selections 43 was a non-thematic exhibition, and the drawings included in the show reflected a great diversity of works on paper. Since the last Selections exhibition in September, the curatorial staff had viewed the work of more than four hundred artists and from that group the following artists had been chosen to participate in Selections 43: Jarrett Huddleston, David Lawter, Peter Levinson, Alison Ruttan, Eran Shakine, Jon Tower, Melissa Townsend, and Bradley Wester.
All of the artists included in Selections 43 participated in a symposium at The Drawing Center on Wednesday, December 14 at 7:00 pm. The artists discussed their work and answered questions from the audience.
Curated through The Drawing Center’s Viewing Program.
