PurchaseNovember 5, 2005 – February 11, 2006
Thirty years after the fall of Saigon, Persistent Vestiges: Drawing from the American Vietnam War brought together work by Vietnamese and American artists dating from the war era and the present day. Hand-printing on the gallery walls by Nancy Spero and collages by Martha Rosler were placed in dialogue with photo-based mixed media work by Dinh Q. Lê and Binh Danh. Persistent Vestiges juxtaposed the work of artists from different generations who approached the subject of the war from various perspectives.
