Paperwork

Paperwork was an exhibition of recent work by ten artists who had not previously exhibited in New York. The exhibition was the third in a series presenting works selected from the Center's Artists' Viewing Program. The Viewing Program had permitted the staff of The Drawing Center to view the works of more than a thousand artists in the year since its founding. Paperwork was prompted by the high quality of work seen in the Viewing Program and gave evidence of the diversity of approaches, intentions, and methods contemporary artists brought to the drawing medium.
