Café Anxiety Drawing Club International is a virtual café, in the form of a mobile group chat, where participants are encouraged to share their daily lives and stream of consciousness through a practice of drawing exchange. In conjunction withOpen Sessions 2018 – 2020: What’s Love Got to Do with It? artist Joeun Kim Aatchim, founder of Café Anxiety, will lead a collective drawing session where participants will respond to one another’s images by sharing drawings in a live stream. Please bring two or three drawings to share or sketch on site. Kevin Kuh (Violinist) and Ashley Grier (Soprano), two improvisational live musicians will help set the evening’s mood.

Organized by Rosario Güiraldes and Lisa Sigal, Open Sessions Curators.

Open Sessions is made possible by the Horace W. Goldsmith Foundation, The Helen Frankenthaler Foundation, the Further Forward Foundation, and, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council.
