School Groups

Serving students from across the five boroughs, each on-site program is led by The Drawing Center’s Director of Education + Community Programs, Aimee Good, and consists of a guided tour of current exhibitions and an art-making workshop. Students are encouraged throughout each program to engage in group discussions about the work on view, before creating their own drawings inspired by the exhibiting artists’ use of materials, production methods, and concepts. The program encourages young people to examine drawing’s role in contemporary culture, the future of art, and creative thought.
