Rotational Internship Program

Rotational Internships provide opportunities to acquire practical experience in a small art museum. Interns rotate through one of two groupings of departments: contemporary curation, the Viewing Program for emerging artists, education, and operations; or historical curation, registration, publications, development, and marketing. In addition, interns will have the opportunity to assist in exhibition installations and de-installations to gain hands-on experience in the exhibition program. Interns work closely with staff members on projects and are given the opportunity to learn about each department in greater detail through staff presentations.

Eligibility

Interns should be undergraduates, graduate students, or recently graduated students and should have completed at least one year of college.

Time Commitment

Interns must commit to work a minimum of fifteen hours each week, attend opening receptions for all exhibitions, and assist with at least one special event each month during the duration of the internship. Internships run for approximately two to four months, the summer session runs from the end of May or beginning of June through July. In some circumstances, interns may be able to continue for subsequent sessions.

Compensation

Interns may receive academic credit or they may volunteer their time.
