Family Art Workshops at The Drawing Center are designed to encourage children and adults to observe, discuss, and explore art together in the intimate setting of the Center's galleries.
Offered on select Saturdays during the exhibition season, Family Art Workshops connect children and their parents with the artwork on display and are inspired by the various approaches and practices of the exhibiting artists. Reservations are appreciated. We require that children be accompanied by an adult.
To register, or for further information, please call (212) 219-2166 ext. 119 by the Friday prior to the workshop. Admission is free!
Each year, as part of the River To River Festival, The Drawing Center presents our annual celebration of drawing, inspired by the wildly popular program of the same name in the UK. The Big Draw offers hands-on art projects for all ages that are guaranteed to change the way you think about drawing. Pick up a free sketchbook and participate in artist-led activities at multiple Lower Manhattan venues. Bring your imagination and let your creativity flow—no experience necessary!
